I'm going to add onto this story later, peice by peice, then i'll move it to the correct placing in short stories.
I gazed at the plump white moon, casting a faint pearly sheen over the weeping trees. The willow's creaked over the calm lake, perfectly reflected in the rippleless water. An owl hooted softly, adding to the perfect calm.
Shifting my gaze, I leapt back with a cry of amazment. A white owl was perched on the ground beside me. It turned it's amber eyes toward me, and I gulped. That tearing gaze bore into me, almost speaking in a mental way.
"Greetings sir." I said, brushing all grass stains away from my lilac dress. I shook my head in amazment, wondering what had just possesed me to speak to an owl.

"I, in turn, greet you." the owl said, quite politely. My amazment then was nothing to what it was now. An owl. Had spoke. To...me. My jaw hung loose, and my eyes where widered than the sun. The owl sighed. "Pitty. I thought I had finally met a polite human." He rufled his moon-touched feathers, clacking his beak in annoyance. I clamped close my mouth, and glared at the bird. "And I thought you where almost polite. It seems not to be though!" I retorted, ignoring the fact that I was having a conversation with an owl. I extended my hand to stroke those inviting feathers, then snatched it back, confused. "I knew she was wrong!" The owl said triumphantly. my confusing deepened, and I blinked my eyes in question. The owl lifted a wing tip at the trees. I turned my gaze there, and saw only an ebony bird. "The raven." I whispered.

"Nevermore." Croaked the bird, and I raised an eyebrow.
"Don't worry, he's always been mad." The owl assured me, glaring at the Raven. "Anyway, I am looking for someone to do me a task. The idiot up their doesn't think you'll accept. She things you'll run away hiding." I felt fear boil up through me, but also annoyance.
"It would help if I knew what it was you wanted done." I said rudely.
"You must save the Weivryns." The owl said, gazing levely at me.

((Yup..Why not?))
"But why would an owl care if the Weivryns are dead or alive? Wouldn't you want them dead?" I asked, and the owl just shook his head.
"You must do this." He told me. I got the feeling that he thought I was as stupid at the raven thought. I was angry all over again at this. I wanted to prove myself, for I knew I could do it.
"I will." I snapped back, and stood up. The owl flew onto my shoulder gracefully.
"You must leave as soon as possible. Go to the haunted path. I shall meet you their." And with that, he flipped his snowy white feathers, and flew to the north. I didn't question wheather I had just been dreaming. I sprinted home, in a manor that Ma would have told me was unlady like. Of course, she would have been right.
As I reached my small cottage, I quietly pushed open the door, taking care not to creak it. Speedily, I packed a bundle of food, a filled waterskin, and other travling nessesities. I tossed a black cloack over my lilac gown, and clasped the edges together. I left equally as quiet, and left for the Haunted Path. The path, wich none had yet returned.

((This story is turning out very interesting...))
I winced just watching the haunted path, and keept glancing around me. I screamed as I felt claws grasp my shoulder, the sighed at the sight of familiar white feathers. "Don't do that!" I said, gasping.
The owl just ruffled his feathers. "We go to the lands of the Broken Ice." He said, then nodded at the path. "This is the quickest way." I stared at the path again, and couldn't go in. Then I remembered the scorn of the Raven, and the disbelife of the Owl. Pure spite now pushed me foward as I entered the path, and took my first foot falls on the path of saving the weivryns.

((lol))
After an hour of unchanging forest, two thoughts peirced my mind: This is no longer interesting; This is easy. And indeed, it was. Nothing was attacking me, and my mind was surrounded by boredom.
"Owl, do you know any good riddles?" I asked. There was no answer. I reached a hand up to my shoulder to feel an absensce of claws. "Owl?" I cried, frightened.
I franticly searched the surrounding trees, and also my mind, for any remembrance of him leaving me. There was none.

((Once again, I lol)) I collasped on the ground in fright, tears running down my cheecks. "I knew it." A scornful voice above me proclaimed. "I knew you couldn't do it." I looked for the source, and found the raven perched comfortable above me.
"Do what?" I asked irritable.
"Well, you must know that the haunted woods is a snatcher. It takes people, and items. Owl is probably waiting for you at the other side. I'll help you back home if you wish." He replied with a sneer.
I don't think I ever hated something as much as I hated Raven. I pulled out my slingshot, and grasped a stone from the ground. It was used to scare wolves from our sheep, but why not improvise? I aimed carefully, and let the rock fly. It hit the raven square in the cheast, and he fell back. "Go take your bile and 'Nevermore' somewhere else!" I retorted.

((lol))
I picked up my bundle, and continued foward, but not before slipping up my hood. I didn't trust Raven not to come send her 'friends' to attack me.
I wandered foward through the path, wondering if Raven had spoken the truth. Was Owl really at the other side, or was Raven trying to make me forget him? Either way, I just wanted to get out of the woods. My breath came faster as a howl came from the right. But worse, the howl wasn't of a wolf...
I broke into a sprint, tripping over roots and turning over rocks. A soft loping was following me, but I didn't dare look back. Catching my foot on a particularly large root, I spotted a wolf-creature behind me.
I screamed as loud as possible, praying that something would come, and knowing nothing could.
