A roaring screech sounded abouve me, almost like a cross between an owl and a weivryn. Flames shot out before me, and I cannot, willnot, describe the utmost terrible shrieks comeing from the wolf-creature.

When the heat from the fire had died down, I opened my eyes and glanced up, to only see Owl floating down toward me. "Where were you?" I sobbed, still terrified.

He merely ruffled his feathers and nodded pointedly to the path. I stood up, brushing of my dress, and picked up my travling bundle. I pressed on, at a more sensible pace this time, though.

Before long day sunk upon me, and so did exastion. Owl nodded to me. "We sleep now."
"But it's day time! That means we will be traveling during the night!" I exclaimed, fearful.
"I know that humans like to run from their fears by sleeping, but I would rather be awake to fight the night-creatures than asleep to be eaten." He said, voice cruelly cutting me.

I glared at Owl, but went to sleep, falling into my dreams as soon as sleep carressed my mind. Dreams flitted through my mind, but I remembered only one...

Stone mountains rose above me, carved by years of pummling ice and rain. Snow lay in a thick covering on them, wind tearing it around. Many jewel-like dragons soared through the gail, but one caught my eye. It was smaller then the rest, with tawny scales. Peirceing yellow eyes glanced up at me.

I jerked awake, and the only eyes I saw where Owl's, gazing at me levely. His yellow eyes.

[Shades]

"Who are you?" I asked him, my voice mottled by sleep.
"Who will you be, who will you be?" He asked me, and for a moment, I fancied that he was a dragon. I swiped the though from my mind, doubting it.

"Let us depart." I said, staggering up under the darkening sky. Owl perched on my shoulder, and I plunged foward, continuing my journey.
