Long time no see. -sigh- Sorry about that. I feel sorta misplaced here now. I dunno why. Probably 'cause I haven't been active enough to know any of the peeps. (Can any one tell I'm in a colloquial mood?) Anyway, I'd like to get more involved again... if I can. -salutes- Second in Command (who really isn't all that second-in-commandy) is ready to get back into the game.

Oh, lol. Colloquialism: characteristic of informal spoken language or conversationAs explained by OneLook.com (my favorite online dictionary). I learned the word in vocab last year. Pretty much I'm too lazy to type out whole words right now... even though most of the time I make a big deal of writing in complete sentences... like I am now... kind of... except I'm adding all of these trailing periods...

Just my luck as well, it seems. Perhaps it is simply the cycle of forum life and death. I usually end up ignored for some reason or another. I'm just not that fascinating I assume.
I can't believe that the 'Silence' thread is still going. That's amusing. I started that sometime around the beginning of the school year.
This last week has been one of the most stressful that I've had this year. I feel super depressed. Tons of wonderful quizzes, tests, things due, etc. It's like 5:15 in the morning here and I still have to finish my Math and continue studying for all of those 'tests of knowledge'. At least I managed to memorize half of Europe all right...
Anyway, now I'm getting off topic. How has everyone been?

Yep. A week never passes without at least two or three tests, quizzes, exams, etc. That about sums up school.
It was absolutely gorgeous out today. The perfect temperature (in my opinion). There was some sun, a nice cool breeze, my fantastically wonderful cherry tree is in bloom. It is heavenly. Especially after a month straight of rain over the winter. That was really getting old... and we didn't even break the stupid record. We were like a few days away and it just stopped. Grrrr.

WOOT! I'm off to find some members, and I have the perfect evil idea for how to target them. Muahahaha! I also have some nice ideas to make the place more appealing for others... here they are: A new rule: Well... kind of. The thing is, alot of people just want others to give reviews on their stories. They don't want to read other stories and give reviews. I think may be part of what is freezing up the posts in that general area. So, we should add a rule that seriously requests rather than orders that people try reading each other's work and giving the advice sought in order to recieve that which they seek. (Don't you just love how I said that? ;D) Editors: We have an area to share essays that have been turned in, right? Well, why not a place where people post essays that are a work in progress or will be turned in soon? The staff could then edit and review the overall essay and give it back. My brilliant plan whichIdon'tevenknowwillworkornot: An RPG campaign! I don't know how many (if any) of you play RPGs here, but I know of a fair few. Most people playing on the more advanced rpgs do it to release their inner writer! (I know, I know, a little overdramatic. ) Anyway, there's a fair chance that they either write poems/stories, or are interested in doing it. -clears throat- Aside from the fact that many of them may be obsessed with horses or other animals, I think they'd be good members. (Man, my karma is pitiful... )

Another Idea!
Kick Start: I know that sometimes it's difficult for people to come up with a plot that holds their interest, let alone the interest of others. I think we could create a place where staff or other people post the start of an interesting story and let others work off of that, just to get them more used to writing. I have tons of beginnings I could offer. I think they are all very interesting... obviously, since I wrote them.
Feel free to add to or reject the ideas guys. I'm not trying to pressure you into making all of these huge changes. I just think that some of them may increase activity level.
Oh, and Shades? Do you have the code for a largish banner that peeps can click on to get here. There was one in your siggy on the proboards help site, wasn't there?

I'll PM you the proposed 'ad' to be posted on rpgs, Shades. You can make any changes or additions and PM me back. (Plus give me that banner-thing to put on the bottom, if you could.)
You still have all of those spammy things? You know what my sis did to minimize it? She banned all of the different IP addresses. It seems to have helped... I don't know. Couldn't hurt anything, could it?
