This poem was written at the same time I wrote Samhain Prayer. I was in quite the "halloween" mood back then. At any rate, it was meant to be a comic relief type poem. *Grins lightly* I hope ye all like it.
Halloween Lament
It was dark, dogs did bark, as I crept on down the lane.
Winter's chill, what a thrill, frozen fingers feel no pain.
Sneaking now, don't know how, I shall get back home again.
Up ahead, trees look dead, is this to be my bane?
All goes quiet, heart's a-riot, my attention goes in vain.
Hands are shaking, knees are quaking, internal fear I do not feign.
One step back, courage I lack, this, much to my disdain.
Then the ghost, came forth to host, voice like thunder, eyes like rain.
What to do? I ran....no, flew! My mind no longer sane!

I love halloween, so for me to say this is horrible is unfair because one, anything about halloween is awesome, and this poem is also awesome, great job.
