This is a story written for a friend's site (Werewolf Vampire Fantasies). It describes the creation of the world as the site's characters know it and how they came to be there...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The three worlds were drawn into one another in an instant
that scattered the three races to the winds many were separated from loved ones and family. The wolves were sent to the south and west. While the vampires were sent mostly to the north. The humans were scattered every where and many from all three races were slain by the physic blast caused by the worlds joining together. The races banded together and after forty years more beings were still being found on all three sides.
The three races lived without knowledge of each-other until a chance encounter between a werewolf scout party and a vampire patrol. In a ferocious melee the werewolves were victorious but five wolves lay dead and another three werewolves were slain. Although they had lost men they had gained the knowledge that they were not alone.
The were-people exploded into activity and sent scouts far and wide in search of others. The packs made contact and sooner rather than later they found a village to the north of the main den and surveyed it. They found only twenty or thirty humans who were mostly drunk or working hard to produce a feeble crop. Two days later scouts of the Thardon pack invaded and turned the villagers into were wolves.
Over a space of five years they continued this pattern until it came to the attention of the other races. The vampires decided to emulate this and began recruiting on mass. Soon large forces began to clash and for one hundred years or more there was endless violence and it was slowly swaying to the vampires favour.
The gods interfered but none to the same extent as Loki. He sent forth a being known as Magnus the golden. He was of human form yet terrifying to behold. He was a puppet who was used by Loki to influence the long war.
The battles of the long war raged from twenty man riots to hundreds of beings battling for control of a vital town or city. Word of Magnus’s power spread and all of a sudden he seemed to be the key to winning scouts of both sides were sent far and wide to find him and there were frequent skirmishes made by the opposing force. The war was gradually being won by the vampires until a werewolf scout named Grak found him and asked him for the power to win the war. He replied no and said that he could win the war if he sacrificed his soul and surrendered to him in return Magnus would give information to the werewolves that would win the war for them. In a moment of sheer self sacrifice Grak surrendered his soul and was lifted into the air by a black light and returned as a taller were wolf who was far stronger than any mortal and faster than a wolf.
Magnus kept his word and told the king of the were wolves that if he led an army to the fortress of Dar-ver-loth and lay siege to its walls he would be victorious and should he find the stone of boiling blood he would destroy it he would destroy vampires and would win the long war for the werewolves.
The king led forth an army of 1000 werewolves and the same number in normal wolves and lay siege to the walls. After 4 months the siege was finished and it was the werewolves who stood victorious largely due to the efforts of the general Lupus Darleth who had a large pack named in his honour.
The physic blast caused the dragons to stir and as promised turned the vampires to humans and won the long war for the were wolves.
The werewolves were left to their victory but for how long…
