And just how do I crack you up?
And yes, I believe in fairies tales. I believe that all fairy tales, myths, legends, were all true to some degree at one time. I just believe that over time, man added and took from those tales, and they eventually became what they are. Dwarves for instance. I think there might have been like a colony of small (smaller) people. And a theory of mine (I have no proof, just my wandering mind) is that humans came and used those small people for deep minning work, because big humans were too large to enter certain caverns. Though, I have nothing to back up these claims.

Myths are real in our minds. Our ansestors created them, sometimes to teach lessons, sometimes to entertain one another, and I am sure that some of the myths originated from some bit of truth.

Yes, I suppose every fairy tale couldn't come from some bit of truth...I wish though. I also wish I knew the secretes of lost history.

Yes, well many of those will be mysteries we may only contemplate. On an entirely random note, it was my B-day today and as a result I have $45 worth of Barnes & Noble gift cards. Yes! Thing is, I'm paranoid about purchasing a book that I later find I dislike, so I am very careful in my selection. Do you guys have any suggestions of books I should buy? I want these books to be ones I'm going to want to pick up again.

Happy birthday Eolith!
R.A. Salvatore's "The Hunters Blade Trilogy" If you like fantasy adventure. I love this trilogy. But thats my own personal taste. There are a few other books I would recommend, but that means I have to get up and look at my library...I don't want to get up...

Thanks! Yay, only another 6 months before I can legally start driving... not that I was doing anything before... I'll look up the trilogy on Barnes and Noble and see what it's about, as well as what some of the other readers think of it.

huh? Oh, you just turned 15 huh? I remember my 15th birthday. But the weird thing is, I'm like the only kid I know that doesn't want to drive. I wouldn't mind driving if I didn't have to worry about these damned Seattle idiot drivers. But I do. Its a freakin' scary place to driver! Hell, its scary enough riding a damn bike down the street. I rode my bike one time to the market, and I was on the side walk, and a damn car almost hit me! ON THE SIDE WALK! That tells you how bad the drivers in Seattle are.

Whoa, you're in Seattle!? That's like freakish, I am too... I'm eager to drive because I have to ride the bus to and from school and after school I have to wait at the stop for an hour before my bus gets there... trust me, in the winter, that's not good... and it's just boring all the other times.

When you say: I know exactly what you mean. I know what the winters are like here...I live here...they're cold, they're wet, and they're wet...oh wait...I already said that. I walk to school everyday. I live like 3 houses and a court yard away from my school. And what do you mean "its boring all the other times"? Its boring all the time in Seattle. There's nothing to do unless your rich! Everything costs to damn much, and everything is down town. I hate down town. I live in the north end, and I hate it here too! Theres nothing to do in the north, nothing to do in the south, west, or east Seattle. Unless you go up to Rainier during the winter and board. Thats always fun.

I would beg to differ. I love Seattle. I suppose I never really get bored with it because I ride so much, and all of the green we get from the rain is well worth it... in my opinion. I don't live in the actual city, but I'm in the King County area, and I go to a school in Seattle... On second thought, maybe the city is boring. I never really do much in the area. Where I live it's totally different. There's plenty of space... and horse trails.

I've been to Seattle twice in my life. That's the furthest away I've been. I have an aunt that lived in Tacoma, but now she's moved and I'm not quite sure which city she lives in.
As for your book choice, I would highly reccomend reading The Artemis Fowl series if you haven't already. The Lord of the Rings is another series I like, but then every serious reader has read that series. One book you may not be familiar with that I would implore you to read is Lorna Doone by RD Blackmoore. It's a romantic/adventure. My copy, however, is 130 years old, and I dare not read it lest it falls apart. Hmmm... ooh, another book you may like, which is also not fantasy (though I love fantasies, mind you), is Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier. My copy is about 60 years old, but it's condition is well. These are just my personal favorites... oh, and another book- more childish, but just as long as Jamaica Inn, if not longer, is The Three Royal Monkeys by Walter de la Mare. Also an old book, but my copy is, happily, in good shape. One series you have to love (only because everybody else does) is the Enders Game series... though you've probably read those, too. Well, have a fantastic birthday, though I think it was several days ago!

Not down town, but towards the north. Its still part of the city. And it sucks. I am a photographer and living in the city is the worst...I love nature, I want to be out in nature...not in a jungle of steel, glass and bad attitudes...
