You know nothing of my past... I am not trying to sound at all rude, but if you knew my past experiences you might know the depth to which this oath runs. Childish or not, I intend to keep the oath for as long as I possibly can... even if people try to egg me into it. I have some tricks up my sleeve for in case I feel way too pressured. Most writers have had a tormented past. Eolith is right Shades. Though your assumptions are correct for most individuals, it is kind of rude to assume that she will break her oath. I'm not crossing any lines here Shades. I'm being a member speaking with other members honestly.

You know, I never thought of it that way... it is so scarily true though! I didn't start writing until I was going through a really rough time. Not that I was any good. I was 9 for heavensakes! My first story was about a girl going through a tunnel and finding a land of unicorns. It was lame. I originally wrote stories reflecting my emotions to let my parents read them... it was how I communicated. Now days I just write for the pure enjoyment of it. My life is perfectly average, but that doesn't mean I'm average.

Saying most writers have a tormented past is very steriotypical and untrue, although my past has been hard, and it will only continue to get harder as i grow that isnt the reason i started writting. I just loved to see the reaction on peoples faces when they saw it, and plz m8 don't go witht he whole I'm not crossing any borders when you say that, you make me sound like an Troll, I know you werent crossing any lines. I do not know how deep your oath is, i was just talking about people in general, not you as an individual.

It's fine. No hard feelings for anyone, right? For the past few years beleif in steroetypes has practically vanished in me, as it's been beaten into me not to make assumptions. Yep, that's what religion class does to one. Brilliant writers don't have to have rough pasts, but I think the meaning behind that is that those who have seen or experienced misfortune are more wise. It is not always true, but a writer who has experienced the best and the worst of life can better word what they mean, as they themselves know what it is like. I for one cannot write accurately about love. I have never been in love, so I do not know the joys and agonies of it. I can certainly write about the love found in families however. Let's not go comparing bleak pasts and futures, let us focus only on the brilliant life of today.
